Wirco, Inc. is looking for highly skilled welders.  The right candidates must be proficient in Mig, Tig, or Stick welding. They must have the ability to fit up and weld products from a blueprint.  We weld all stainless steel fabrications made from sheet, plate, and bar.  Experience operating fabrication equipment such as rolls, shears, brake presses, is a bonus.  Come work for us in our newly renovated campus on 1st shift.  We offer a clean, well lit, positive environment and are growth oriented.   A High school diploma or GED required.  Certification for welding is optional provided you have five years’ experience in welding in a manufacturing environment.

Maintenance – Fork Truck

Job Summary:

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and needs to be willing to learn new tasks as needed.  In addition to general maintenance duties, this employee will be specifically responsible for inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting and repairing company fork trucks as needed.  Employee must follow a systematic process for accomplishing preventive, scheduled and emergency equipment maintenance.  Employee must be knowledgeable of industrial electricity (all phases and voltages), mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic operations, troubleshooting techniques, blueprint, schematic analysis and proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment.  In performing these responsibilities, employees are to work safely, efficiently, and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement.

  • Must be able to lift up to 100 and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
  • See and hear within reasonable acceptable limits, (this includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally, and in certain instances, it is also necessary for the driver to discern different colors, primarily red, yellow, and green)
  • Must be self motivated as much of the day is unsupervised
  • This is a 40 hour per week position and may require mandatory overtime hours
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Welder

Job Summary:

Responsible for fabrication of product by welding together the correct pieces to produce finished product.  In performing these responsibilities, employees are to work safely, efficiently, and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Must be knowledgeable of all parts used for the assembly of products
  • Will need to verify parts to print
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Build units by welding to quality specifications
    • Making sure of squaring, levelness and plumb
  • Must remove BB’s and sharp edges from finished product using hand tools
    • Sander, putty knifes, chisel and hammer
  • Inspect finish products against engineering specifications
  • Will need to use hand tools throughout production
  • Accurate use of a tape measure
  • Must notify supervisor/lead person for final inspection
  • Will need to know how to use magnetic hoist to move product
  • Fork truck operation
  • Must have problem solving skills
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Must be able to bend, twist, squat repetitively throughout work day
  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
  • See and hear within reasonably acceptable limits, (this includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally)
  • Use time management skills and prioritization to accomplish the day’s tasks within the hours provided

Customer Service/ Technical Support –

Responsible for acting as liaison between customers and companies.  Assists with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancelations and other queries.

Utility Operator-

$11.00/hour temp to hire; 2nd shift

Utility Operators in the production department.  Operate various plastic equipment such as extruder, injection molding presses, hot stamp, pad printer, saws, drill presses, etc. and perform operations on parts as prescribed including assembly, packaging, inspection, drilling, etc.  Mix, distribute plastic material to the correct presses, build cartons, label and seal as required and service automatic injection presses.  Some operations require operation of more than one piece of equipment at one time.  All required information to be filled out by the operator.  Handling material with    a hand lift is also required. May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.  Clean work area and equipment as needed.  Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.  HS/GED

Manufacturing Painter-

$10.00/hour  Temp to hire.  1st shift Monday thru Friday 6:30am-4pm – some days will be a 4:30am start, Saturdays based on business need.

Be part of a line that coats auto parts with paint.  Parts can be heavy weighing up to 85 pounds, the company does use lift assists, so if you can repetitively lift 50 pounds that’s a good place to be.

Packaging-

$10.00/hour, 2nd shift

The right candidates will have excellent hand/eye coordination, be able to stand for an entire 8 hour shift, and be willing to do overtime.  These positions require, but are not limited to, labeling, quality checks and packaging product, and rotation of job duties.  These positions are fast paced and require good attention to detail.

Warehouse Product Tester and Packer

Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm.  $10.00 per hour.  Temp to hire

Working in the warehouse testing product, some assembly, packing product for shipment, making boxes, glue boxes and help other areas as needed.  Must be able to stand entire shift.

Desktop Publisher –

Hours are Monday – Friday 8:15am – 5pm.  Pay is $10.00 an hr – Temp to Hire.

Working with a company to produce and publish pamphlets, booklets, fliers and brochure mailings for certain events.  Must have experience with some kind of Photoshop program – company uses InDesign and Page Maker.  HS/Equiv required.

Machine Operator-

Hiring for all shifts – $11.50 an hour temp to hire

Production Operators – assembly, loading and moving materials in work-in-process and finished goods.

Plastic Injection Mold Operation-

All shifts – Monday thru Friday with weekends as business needs dictates.  $11.00 an hour with attendance bonus at 30 and 60 days – 90 day temp to hire.

Prepare products for shipping as they come off the presses.  Remove excess flash, sanding, stamping, and stacking are some of the duties included.

General Labor-

$15.00/hour, temporary as needed.

General labor needed for large grainery.  Must be able to physically work in an outside environment as needed.  Bending, lifting, reaching and stooping will be consistent throughout the day.  Day time hours.

CNC Operator –

2nd shift 2pm – 10pm, and 3rd shift 10pm – 6 am  Pay $13-$14 based on experience.  Temp to hire.

CNC Lathe/Mill experienced operators.  Must have set up, tool change experience.  Monday – Friday with Saturdays as overtime as needed.

Machine Operator

Pay range is $11.00-$12.30 depending on shift and position.  Temp to hire.

Collator Helper

Monday-Friday 10pm-6am.  $10.00/hour – long term assignment

Assist operator in setting up, inspecting, packing and creating packing reports.  Retrieve materials for collator or press, i.e. stuffing, labels, cartons.  Assist operator with labeling cartons and moving product to next station.  Box or pack forms & other activities to keep machine running.  Assist operator with various quality checks.  Basic communication skills, both verbal and written.  Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
