Pay grade is $17.78/hr+ production bonus

 

Basic Job Functions:

The Mechanic role responsibilities include, but are not limited to: repairing and maintaining equipment mechanically and electrically in all areas of production, equipment inspections, equipment alignments, execution of preventative maintenance measures, pneumatic system troubleshooting, hydraulic system maintenance, and execution of overall improvements to the Fastener Division.  Operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and jib cranes may also be necessary to repair, maintain, or move machinery and equipment.  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) year industrial maintenance degree or pursuing degree in related field, and/or five (5) years industrial maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Leadership Experience

  • Prior Mechanical Maintenance Experience

  • Welding Experience:  MIG, TIG, ARC, and stainless steel welding techniques

  • Industrial Electrical Experience

The Electrician role responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:  maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, designing and installing equipment.  This teammate will assist with process improvements and will provide customer service/support for operations.  A major emphasis for this role will be improving predictive and preventive maintenance, while reducing reactive.  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) year electrical degree or pursuing electrical degree, and/or five (5) years industrial electrical experience

  • Electrical Engineering Degree

  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley Panel View+, and ControlLogix

  • Process control design and troubleshooting

Administrative Assistant

DeKalb County Community Corrections has an opening for an Administrative Assistant in DeKalb County, Indiana.

Pays $13.00/hour

Incumbent serves as Administrative Assistant for the Community Corrections Department, responsible for assisting with data entry and verifying records.

DUTIES:

  • Uses principles of evidence based practices as a guide in interactions with program participants.

  • Assists in entering records for Community Service Program.

  • Verifies participant’s records and reviews GPS data, as needed.

  • Enters data in accordance with the Indiana Department of Correction resource Manual requirements for offender classification and data reporting.

  • Assists in the data entry and maintenance of all offender case files, including filing reports and obtaining chronological case summaries from Courts, as assigned.

  • Types and enters data on computer and copies, distributes, and files various documents.

  • Collects drug screens and maintains records.

Residential Services Facilitator

DeKalb County Community Corrections in DeKalb County, Indiana has a position for a Residential Services Facilitator PT.

Pay is $15.00/hour.

Incumbent serves as Residential Services Facilitator for the Community Corrections Department, responsible for maintaining control and ensuring safety of facility, staff, and residents.

DUTIES:

  • Uses principles of evidence based practices as a guide in interactions with program participants and in the development of department programs.

  • Implements programs that will achieve the agency’s mission.

  • Monitors compliance of program rules and any special conditions ordered by the court.

  • Oversees activities of facility residents.

  • Assists in maintaining safety, security, and sanitation of the facility.

  • Assists in supervising resident conduct and safety.

  • Assists in preparing statistical and other reports, as required.

  • Conducts searches to monitor program compliance.

  • Collects drug screens and maintains records, as needed.

  • Maintains current, accurate case files, including classifying participants according to risk based on Indiana Risk Assessment results, recording defendant’s behavior and compliance with the court’s order.

  • Collaborate on cases with Community Corrections staff, as needed.

  • Completes and/or receives, processes, and forwards requests for maintenance to the facility maintenance department and supervisor.

  • Assists staff in completing assigned duties.

  • Attends various meetings, as required.

  • Testifies in court, as needed.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.
