Basic Job Functions:

*2nd shift hours are typically 3p-11p but can vary based on business and/or departmental need*

The role of the tool room Machinist includes, but is not limited to, repairing and maintaining tooling set ups for Forming Equipment.  Tool Room Machinists also operate mills, grinders, and lathes to machine new parts, create and review new product design, and design and update current methods of forming product.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years general machining experience OR education in a related field
  • 3-5 years machining experience using grinders, lathes and mills
  • Previous CNC Machine experience
