Entry Level Production

We are looking for candidates who are willing to work any shift which would require working both day and night shifts in a drug free environment.

Most production positions in our steel plant require moderate to heavy lifting and can be physically demanding including working in extreme temperatures.

Pickling Operator

Job Details

Division:  Nucor Fastener Indiana
Location:  St. Joe, IN, United States
Starting base pay is $14.06/hour.  This position is hourly + weekly production bonus.

Basic Job Functions:

The Pickle Operator’s responsibilities include safe operation of all equipment while processing quality steel coils through our batch pickle line, maintaining coil lot & inventory integrity, working closely with forming department teammates for product availability & quality.  Responsibilities will also include covering the needs of the annealing & receiving sections within the Wire Processing Department as they may arise. Operators are expected to serve as members of the division Hazmat team.  Core hours at this time for this role are 11pm-7am but can change at any time based on business and/or departmental need.  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver’s license for operating Nucor Fastener industrial trucks
  • Must be willing to work any shift
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous forklift experience or previously forklift certified
  • Previous crane operating experience
  • Previous industrial operations experience
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite

Multiple Heavy Manufacturing Positions

Privately held Paragon Steel (located in Butler, IN) warehouses and cuts steel coils.  Paragon Steel has excellent opportunities in a fast-paced, family-oriented manufacturing environment.  Multiple manufacturing positions on all shifts.   The Packaging operator secures large steel coils using heavy equipment and hand tools.  Overhead Crane or Forklift experience a plus.  Pay rate depends on experience and position.  (Off-shift premiums not included in pay rate)

FULL TIME Production Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

Development Manager

General Duties

We are seeking a self-motivated person who can fundraise, organize and plan events, and partner with community leaders.  The primary duties of the Development Manager are to manage JA boards and their budgets in the assigned counties of LaGrange, Noble, Steuben and Whitley counties.  This position, along with the program manager, will represent the local JA operation and ensure quality service to schools, donors, and boards of directors in order to meet organizational goals.  This position is full time and will report to the Director of Development in the East Unit.

  • Lead and inspire a Board of Directors in each county to build a sustainable and growing funding model to meet future needs.
  • Maintain, develop & build Board of Directors.  Recruit a diverse and qualified board or advisory committee that represents a variety of industry in the county.
  • Prepare reports for Board and Committee meetings.
  • Manage all events and logistics with boards of directors.
  • Assist programming staff to identify growth.
  • Manage Annual Campaign and Partnership process.
  • Research and identify past and new corporate foundation and individual interests to fund the assigned programs.
  • Write and manage grants.
  • Provide follow up and report back information to funders and implement a stewardship strategy.
  • Prepare and manage the budget goals and pledges in the Development Report.
  • Self-motivated, with a high level of energy                        Ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills                 Ability to meet people and build rapport easily
