Welcome to Freedom Academy

Since 1991 thousands of people have taken advantage of Freedom Academy’s adult continuing education program. Responding to high-quality, practical education and training at convenient locations, adult students in six northeastern Indiana counties have experienced rewarding outcomes in the Freedom Academy classroom. Those classrooms are the local high schools, middle schools and libraries in their hometown. They are also in the training rooms of business and industry.

Popular Courses

Universal Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC)

Freedom Academy’s HVACR program is designed to provide practical understanding of the basics of air conditioning and refrigeration theory with the principles of heating and ventilation.

Welding

The 80-hour hands-on course is designed to provide an introduction to welding. Students will complete the 80 hour course to prepare for American Welding Society certification exams.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The CNA program consists of classroom and clinical experiences.  The student will be trained in providing basic care to patients in extended care facilities, hospitals.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

This program is designed to prepare students to function as professionals as medical assistants with a clinical background to perform various clinical tasks including assisting with the administration of medications and with minor procedures.

CNC Machinist

Make an impact on the American manufacturing industry – train to become a CNC Machinist. From cutting metal, steel, aluminum and titanium for manufactuing parts, to programing a computer to create intricate pieces for everyday household items, you’ll learn CNC Machining fundamentals.

Qualified Medication Aide (QMA)

Take the next step beyond a CNA License. Physicians, pharmacists, nurses and Qualified Medication Aides (QMA’s) are all members of a team responsible for giving residents in extended care environments the correct medication.
